Cody LePow is no stranger to a stage. Like most artists who are lifers and make music for a living, he has had to navigate a labyrinth of mazes on the way to this point of renewal. On the way, he has been penning and playing his songs while steering his craft toward an open gate. With his newest album release, “High Voltage Transmitter”, with various musicians along for the ride, Cody is back in his usual fine form.
He has been tagged as a “West Coast Troubadour” by the L.A. County Examiner, “who has truly achieved his own sense of style.” Paolo Caru, editor of Europe’s Buscadero Music Magazine calls LePow “a great and valuable talent on the horizon.” Patrick Schwarz, of Night Moves say’s “Cody’s sound has strong potential in becoming signature in the years to come.”
Cody has done shows with Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal, Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, Katie Webster, Rockin Doopsie, Robben Ford, Coco Montoya, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Finis Tasby, Blue Oyster Cult, the Mannish Boys, and many more. He has performed with members of Dwight Yoakam, Lenny Kravitz, the Eagles, Don Henley, the Pointer Sisters, 13th Floor Elevators, and a host of others. Cody’s performances have taken him to concert stages, festivals, fairs, and clubs across the country.
Cody is true-to-his-vision as an artist, from the way he walks it, talks it, and lays it down. As a solo artist, he brings in a whole other side of his persona while playing various guitars, harmonicas and evoking his warm and heartfelt vocals. Cody was an International Blues Competition Regional Winner for L.A. County, traveling to Memphis to compete in the Blues Foundation ceremonies. That national-level recognition was no accidental discovery. His journey began early in childhood and remains an enduring passion. Right from the start he began fusing the rich heritage of blues, rock, and country into a sound all his own.
Cody’s works have been described by American Songwriters, Paul Zollo, as: “Songs of timeless appeal with the classic spirit of authentic Americana.” You’ve heard his songs in various movies, TV soundtracks, XM Radio, late night TV, and various covers by other artists. “Angel With Broken Wings,” off “Tales from A Dusty Southland” CD, won the best pop/rock song award from the Fort Bend/Houston Songwriter’s Association. Some of his work has won best song categories and various awards.
Cody LePow keeps cranking it out and finding the magic by being open and receptive to the possibilities of imagination, inspiration, and the moment. Undoubtedly, his most passionate means of expression is his music. Roots music lovers and soulful sound aficionados will agree that he gives us something we can sink our teeth into.

“To sum up Cody LePow, I will refer to a few of his songs for that; he is a Truck Drivin’ man on a Fast Train and Any Day Now the Love Junkie will come give you an Education on Love to fix an Angel With Broken Wings. I say Amen to the man with a thing for words!” - Christi Broekemeier
